work about contact

My name is Jeremy Seeman and this is my personal graphic design portfolio. Here you will find a large variety of work built over the course of my career. There's a little bit of everything including, illustrations, infographics, web design and more!

The Brief

I have always been visually inclined and artistic with a good sense of design taste. In 2008, I enrolled in the Design Studies program at MacEwan University (actually it was Grant MacEwan at the time), focusing my efforts in the Design and Exhibit presentation major. I finished in 2011, with a well rounded design foundation.

I started a freelance business in late 2011, where I worked with companies such as Zipnet Media, Rayacom print and design, the Royal Lifesaving Society, and anything else I could get my hands on. It was here where I would push the limits of my skills, and purposely put myself into situations where I had to learn more. I have slowed down a bit with freelance work, but take on clients from time to time

I worked full time at JWN from February 2011 until September 2017. There, I worked on a multitude of products including print and digital magazines, technology reports, maps & charts, brand development, client and house ads, web development and more. Having spent so much time at JWN played an instrumental role in creating the designer I am today.

Me in a nutshell

I am constantly pushing my design skills in different directions, and am an avid self-learner. My education didn't cover web design, but the growing trend was obvious, and daunting. A fire grew inside and I began taking courses through NAIT and watching tutorials on, learning everything I could about web design best practices, UX UI, the standard web-dev coding languages, and everything in between.

I'm also very proficient with the standard design programs like Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator, as well as a handfull of others such as Cinema4D, Adobe Animate, VectorWorks, Dreamweaver and Sublime Text. Generally speaking, if there's something I've never done before, and I have the opportunity to try, I won't hesitate to dive in with gusto.
